Why We Like WorldWorld

In WorldWorld, everything is made of letters.

For instance, Frog lives in a log made of the letters L-O-G.

Here's what Simon wrote on his board the other day:

We can't help but notice the elongated 'L', just like in Frog's home.

Another character, Chef Pig, is frequently seen cooking with a pot (made, of course, with the letters P-O-T).

More of Simon's work:

And we're not prompting or coaching him.  He decides on his own that this would be fun.

I've also recently seen Simon write PIE.  I'm sure I've missed others that Liz has seen.

WordWorld is also where Simon got the idea to write BUG.

So yeah.  We like WordWorld.

"A bug!" Simon replies.

"That's great," Liz says.  "Can I see it when it is done?"

Here's what he showed her:

"Dr. Mommy"

Simon heard me refer to Liz as "Dr. Fowler," and started addressing her as "Doctor Mommy" this evening.

The grin on Liz's face was enormous.
